This transparent protective varnish is designed for the final varnishing and fixation of paintings and decorations created using the encaustic technique (hot wax painting). Once dry, the product creates a continuous, crystal-clear protective film on the surface, which reliably protects sensitive wax layers from mechanical damage, scratching, and the accumulation of dust and impurities. It is fully compatible with special encaustic waxes and papers, with the chemical composition of the varnish reacting with the wax base to keep colours fresh, bright, and intense over the long term. Varnish is applied in a thin, even layer using a soft brush directly onto the clean and completely cooled surface of the finished wax artwork. The solution is supplied in liquid form, ready for immediate use without the need for further dilution. Used brushes and tools are easily cleaned with lukewarm water and soap immediately after application.
