Quartz flour for casting compounds 900g

This ultra-fine ground silica flour in a 900 g pack is designed as a highly functional mineral filler and additive for gypsum, cement, concrete and polymer casting materials (including casting resins). The silica micro-material serves to increase the structural density, surface hardness and overall mechanical strength of the resulting casting in both compression and tension. Adding this flour to casting mixtures effectively reduces material shrinkage during the hydration and curing process, minimising the risk of shrinkage cracks and deformations, and ensuring absolute dimensional stability even for larger objects. In polymer systems, it also helps reduce exothermic shock (heat generation during setting) and optimises the viscosity of the mixture. Silica flour is chemically completely inert, colourfast and does not affect the natural setting process of the binders. The dry additive is dosed in the required percentage ratio and, before adding water or the liquid component, it is first thoroughly mixed in a dry state with the main material to ensure perfect homogeneity of the entire volume. The use of respiratory protective equipment (respirator) is recommended during handling and mixing.
