This professional two-component casting silicone Silcolan NV is a high-quality liquid casting compound (condensation type) designed for the production of flexible, highly elastic and dimensionally accurate moulds. The NV suffix (low viscosity) guarantees excellent flow and fluidity of the mixture, which, after being poured over the original model, perfectly copies even the finest details, deep undercuts, creases and microtextures, while naturally releasing trapped air bubbles. Once cured, the silicone exhibits extraordinary resistance to tearing, mechanical wear and chemicals, ensuring a long lifespan of the mould even with repeated casting. The resulting stencils are naturally non-stick and are ideal for working with a wide range of materials, such as plaster, creative concrete, artificial stone, wax, soap bases and polyurethane or epoxy casting resins. The silicone is prepared by accurately mixing the base component with the appropriate liquid catalyst (hardener) in the prescribed weight ratio. The mixture is stirred slowly and thoroughly to minimise the introduction of air into the entire volume. Used tools and mixing containers should be wiped clean with a dry cloth immediately after work and then washed with lukewarm soapy water or an alcohol-based cleaner.
